The Tempy Nester program involves providing temporary emergency accommodation to women and children escaping domestic violence and homelessness.
This is an important initiative as we aim to connect those impacted by domestic violence with those who can provide temporary accommodation, known as “Empty Nesters”, to help improve safety and security in our community.
Why is now the best time to be an Empty Nester?
Approximately one in four women in Australia experiences violence by an intimate partner and a staggering 36% of people who experienced family and domestic violence in 2019 and 2020 were younger than age 18. As a consequence, there has never been a more important time for us to work together and help restore safety and shelter to those who are in desperate need of it.
How can you get involved?
We are currently seeking Empty Nesters that have spare accommodation or living space to host women and kids who have been subjected to domestic violence in Australia.

Our team will then check your eligibility to become an Empty Nester and contact you to discuss the next steps of how you can contribute to this feel-good program and make a difference to those who are in desperate need of shelter and safety.
